Health Care

    Health Shield is a company sponsored healthcare scheme:
  • Helps pay towards items such as dental care, optical care, health & wellbeing, and hospital stays
  • All employees receive the company sponsored level
  • Then there is the ability to increase membership at an additional cost to the employee
  • Claims form and Amendment to level form, can both be found on the HR intranet

Reward Schemes

  • Recognition by Managers, customers or members of the public of above and beyond commitment to the Company Values
  • Applies to all employees
  • Employees can only qualify for one award per calendar year; however this may be reviewed in exceptional circumstances
  • Nominations should be passed to your Regional HR Business Partner who will seek approval from the Head of HR/Exec
  • Once approved, employees will be notified by their Manger and given a certificate and a letter congratulating them from the Exec

O2

  • All employees of the Company has access to O2 Open, which provides discounts on airtime plans with O2 of up to 25%
  • The discount can apply to airtime on a mobile phone and on a tablet or both
  • All you need to register is the 5 character Company code obtained from HR and a payslip to provide proof of employment

Childcare Vouchers

Childcare vouchers are an employee benefit for all eligible working parents If you join the scheme, you can exchange part of your gross salary for childcare vouchers. The part of your gross salary you exchange for childcare vouchers is tax-free and exempt from National Insurance contributions (NI). All registered childcare providers can accept childcare vouchers as a method of payment, including:

  • Nurseries
  • Nannies
  • Au pairs
  • Creches
  • Childminders
  • Out of school clubs
  • Extra-curricular activities (such as music lessons)
  • Breakfast and after-school clubs

Additional Benefits

  • Eye Care
  • All employees who use a VDU screen are entitled to a free eye test with Specsavers each year
  • A form must be completed and returned to HR Admin
  • You will then be sent a voucher to take with you to your eye test
  • Policy can be found on the HR Intranet
    Recommend a Friend
  • Incentive for employees to refer their friends and family for any role(s) within BDL UK offices and depots that are advertised
  • Once the referred employee has successfully passed their probation the referring employee will receive a beneficial reward

Pension

A pension scheme is offered to all employees, further details on schemes offered including auto enrolment will be outlined when you start.

Long Service Awards

  • All current employees who have 10, 20, 30 or 40 years’ continuous service with the Company will qualify for a long-service award.
